How to Make Fish Stock

You would think it was orange juice or something… not fish stock… just look at that beautiful color!
Ok, so on my facebook page I recently put up a picture of my latest fish stock batch. I just loved how it turned out! It was delicious and the color was so lovely. You wouldn’t think that fish stock would have a nice color would you? So I figured it was time to share the how-to’s now that this has become part of my routine.
Well here’s my story with fish stock. It’s pretty much the same as with everything else… Continue reading
Homemade Vanilla Extract!
So here I go again with making something homemade. I have a problem I think. It’s 25 degrees outside and it’s probably the only week all summer that we’ve had nice weather like this and I am spending it in the kitchen. Issues much?
Obviously the homemade star of this post didn’t take all day to make. In fact, it took about 5 minutes. Imagine having gorgeous high end genuine vanilla extract at your fingertips for soooo much less than what the good stuff costs in the… Continue reading
A Day of New Things…

This is a super quick post sharing something ultra cool that I just ran across online randomly and just had to share it. It’s a brilliant idea and for anyone who has a bunch of herbs to preserve for… Continue reading
A Garden Abundance…
I just wanted to share my bliss with everyone. I absolutely love having a big enough yard to have a veggie garden! We sort of tried it a little bit last year but didn’t bother too much with it but this year the Italian Troll made me these gorgeous boxes to plant all the veg in. I adore them! He did a brilliant job and these will last for years to come!
This year is kind of a trial year but it’s gone well! We’ve planted potatoes, carrots, red and yellow onions, spinach, chard, broccoli, pickle cucumbers, leeks, romaine and… Continue reading
